We’re lucky to live here, for all sorts of reasons. One that we often take for granted is our extraordinary energy service.
Holy Cross Electric is the power provider in most of Eagle County. Most of us don’t even know that we, Holy Cross customers, are also its owners. We usually get a dividend check in the mail once a year that for other utilities would otherwise go to investors, not customers.
But just by being customers, we are the Holy Cross investors. And so we also vote on the board members that ultimately make decisions affecting the reliability, safety, affordability, and sustainability of the power we all use.
That vote is happening now! If you are a Holy Cross customer, you should have received something in the mail and/or an email explaining your voting opportunity and how to do it. If you haven’t seen that announcement, go to HolyCross.com for instructions.
I support Keith Klesner, who has demonstrated his commitment to the affordable, reliable, and safe renewable energy Holy Cross is nationally renowned for. Keith has kept a close relationship with our community that he serves, and I hope you’ll join me in voting for Keith to continue that service as our Northern District Holy Cross board member!
