Opinion | Nelson: Vote for Ruth Stanley in Avon Town Council election

As President Emeritus of the Vail Valley Art Guild with our gallery based in Avon, I strongly support Ruth Stanley’s reelection to Avon’s Town Council. In addition to her many other community activities, she has served on our board as a strong advocate for fostering and recognizing our valley’s local artists. Because of her support, Avon is becoming recognized as an arts venue as well as a ski town. She is a team player who does her homework, steps up where needed and often provides original solutions to long standing problems. She is hard working and caring with a lively sense of humor which definitely helps keep issues in perspective while finding solutions. I believe Avon will benefit from Ruth’s skills, dedication and input as has the Vail Valley Art Guild at Avon.
