As the snow begins to blanket Colorado’s mountain towns, the artistry of Aspen Vail Ice Sculpting takes center stage, transforming blocks of ice into dazzling works of frozen beauty. Led by master sculptor Scott Rella and partner Bryan Park , the company has become a hallmark of winter creativity across Colorado.

Known for their precision, craftsmanship, and imagination, Park and Rella have elevated ice carving from novelty to fine art. Their sculptures — ranging from hand sculpted pieces and interactive company branding to large-scale event installations — can be found at ski resorts, festivals, weddings, and luxury events throughout the Rockies. Each piece is meticulously designed to capture the spirit of the season, glistening under the mountain sun or glowing beneath evening lights.

“We love that our work brings people together,” says co-owner Bryan Park, who purchased the company in 2022. “There’s something magical about seeing a crowd gather to watch an idea come to life from a single block of ice. We all become kids again.”

Aspen Vail Ice Sculpting is a fixture at many of the region’s most popular winter events. From live carving demonstrations at resort villages to custom installations for celebrations and events, the team’s creations add a touch of elegance and excitement to Colorado’s coldest months. Their expertise extends beyond public festivals; they also collaborate closely with event planners, luxury resorts, and corporate clients to design unique ice experiences tailored to any occasion.

Co-owner and founder Scott Rella, whose career includes international competitions and professional sculpting for more than four decades, says the artistry lies in both the technical challenge and the fleeting nature of the medium. “Ice is alive — it reacts to temperature, light, and time,” Rella explains. “That’s what makes each sculpture special. It’s beautiful for a moment, and then it returns to nature.”

The company’s services include custom ice sculptures, ice bars and luges, corporate branding displays, and full event installations. Each project is crafted with precision and delivered with professional care, ensuring that every sculpture is not only stunning but also safely displayed and perfectly timed for its event debut.

Beyond their craftsmanship, Park and Rella share a commitment to community and creativity. They view their work as a way to celebrate Colorado’s alpine heritage while inspiring others to see winter in a new light.
