Avon cleanup week is next week

Vail, CO Colorado – The Town of Avon is sponsoring a clean up week for residents Monday through next Friday. If you have unwanted materials including large items such as washers, dryers or furniture, now is the time to trash them.- Removal is free.

Starting Monday, Avon residents can contact Avon Public Works Department to schedule a pickup for your unwanted small and large items.- A Public Works crew will come to your home to pick up the materials between the hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday. Items must be placed curbside.-The staff will take your materials, free of charge, to the dump.-The Public Works Department will take almost anything except tires and construction trash or hazardous and toxic waste items such as paints, motor oil, batteries, etc.-Refrigerators or freezers will not be accepted, but individuals can take them to the Eagle County landfill for recycling as long as the freon has been removed.
