Briefs: Eagle County upgrading buses
EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ECO Transit wants riders to know the upgrades to its new buses arent only cosmetic. Along with a s sleeker body, the buses have lower floors that make them easier to board, clearer windows, more efficient lights and more powerful engines that burn more cleanly. The new fare boxes can issue one-, three-, and seven-day passes. The county has replaced seven of its 28 buses with the new models over the last two years. Last year, ECO Transit hit a record-high ridership of 950,000 trips. For more information on ECO Transit, visit the Eagle County Web site at http://www.eaglecounty.us
