VAIL — The Chabad Jewish Center of Vail is celebrating the Festival of Lights in ways you may have never seen.
Hanukkah Bol is a night of bowling and celebration, said Rabbi Dovid Mintz.
“It is a holiday that enriches our lives with the light of tradition,” said Mintz, director of the Chabad Jewish Center of Vail.
Not so long ago, celebrating Hanukkah meant some latkes, a few spins of the dreidel, some songs and, of course, the menorah. A jelly doughnut or two and some gelt if lucky, Mintz said.
At Hanukkah Bol, you can experience Hanukkah and get to see the lighting of the menorah made from bowling pins. Dignitaries will attend the ceremony and will assist in kindling the bowling pin menorah.
Hanukkah is highlighted by the kindling of the menorah each night of the holiday.
Along with bowling, you’ll enjoy arts and crafts, doughnut, latkes, Israeli music, grand raffle, gelt and more.
A cash reward is being offered for information leading to locating Ryan Daniels. The local 19-year old man went missing May 22.
