VAIL – Touring in support of its debut album, “How To Save a Life,” The Fray lands at 8150 in Vail Friday at 10 p.m.

According to the Denver quartet’s press release, the CD blends piano-based Brit-pop and swooning, scruffy alt-rock melancholia. The album features achy ballads, like “Fall Away,” and meatier cuts, like “Over My Head (Cable Car).” The album garnered a three-star review from Rolling Stone and Paste Magazine.

The Fray has made numerous TV appearances including, “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “The WB Morning Show,” MTV’s “Advance Warning,” VH1’s “You Oughta Know Artist” and most recently, “Conan O’Brien.” For more information on the group, visit http://www.thefray.net.
