Eagle Valley Class of 1974 to reunite June 25
The Homecoming slave sale. The “Devils’ Brigade” marching band and color guard. Second-place league finishes for the varsity football and basketball teams; and league championships for the baseball and wrestling teams.There’s nothing like a small town class reunion. When the Eagle Valley High School Class of 1974 gets together later this month for their 30th reunion, they’re going to have a lot of memories to share.
A dinner and dance is planned for the Friday night of Flight Days, June 25, at the Brush Creek Pavilion in Eagle. The class of 1974 is inviting the class of 1972 through 1976 to join them for a weekend of renewing old friendships and sharing 30-year-old memories. For that matter, any Eagle Valley High alumni, as well as teachers and faculty, are invited to the event.The evening starts with dinner, followed by dancing to the music of Airborn. Cost of the evening is $25 per person. The gathering will start at 6 p.m. Contact Sharolyn Barton at 524-7190.
Barton serves on the reunion organizing committee along with her husband, Dave, Raenette (Yost) Johnson, Linda (Hoza) Taylor, Linda (Breshears) Hatton, Donna Jo (Jacox) Long, Margie Turgeon, June (Bertroch) Nestor, Arlene (Gerard) Sandberg, and Carolyn (Longshore) Pitman.Reunion organizers anticipate about 125 to 150 people will attend. The official reunion is Friday evening, June 25, but alumni from the various classes can spend the weekend locally, and participate in the various Flight Days activities planned for the weekend.
