Gypsum family looking for help

GYPSUM, Colorado – The Lovato family has been hit with more than an automobile accident.
“Ron, myself and our three boys are asking for the support of our community,” said Hannah Lovato. “We have had three horrible years of very bad luck.”
Medical bills have stacked up from six surgeries and the accompanying hospital stays. Their 2-year-old son was hospitalized last fall in Presbyterian Saint Lukes Hospital in Denver.
In the middle of it all, Ron was laid off and their only vehicle, a Ford Expedition, was totaled when an uninsured driver collided with them.
“Thankfully our two babies weren’t hurt,” Hannah said.

However, they’re driving a rental car and that bill is added to their pile. Their insurance does not cover rental cars.
“Because of our previous blows we have no extra money in savings,” Hannah said. “There’s so much medical debt.”
It’s the latest setback in a three-year struggle.
“Ron and I have decided to let our pride go and ask our supportive community for some help this time,” Hannah said.
There is an account opened under Hannah and Ron Lovato at Alpine Bank. If they get more help than they need, they’ll give the money to the local Salvation Army, Hannah said.
“Many of you have already showed your love and concern and we cannot be more grateful for the friends and family we have in this small town,” Hannah said.
