Keystone Golf Course opens for 2007 season on June 10
Even though Memorial Day, the traditional start to the summer season, is 12 days away, golfers will get a sneak peek of summer this Friday at Keystone when The River Course opens for the 2007 golf season. The Ranch Course, the resorts second 18-hole course is set to open Friday, May 25 for the season. Known as a world-class ski and snowboard resort, Keystone continues to attract more attention for its golf, downhill mountain biking, summer festivals like the August Wine, Jazz & Art Festival and its year-round conference center, which is the largest in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. To sweeten the 2007 season and attract new golfers, Keystones offering free programs for kids and women. Every afternoon at Keystone kids golf free with a paying adult. The resort started this program last year and will again offer this deal for kids 17 and younger during the 2007 season any day after 5 p.m. Another successful program that will be offered again this year is the week of free womens golf clinics. This year the free womens clinics will be May 26 June 1 and each day will feature a different aspect of the game chipping, putting, sand play, etiquette, full-swing basics and pitch shots, just to name a few. Daily rates for The River Course and The Keystone Ranch are $75 for 18 holes and $50 for twilight play (after 3 p.m.) through June 14. All golf rates include greens fees, golf car rental, practice facility access and practice balls. Summer rates will begin June 15. The River Course is set to close for the season Oct. 7 and the Keystone Ranch will finish the season on Sept. 30. All opening and closing dates are tentative and weather dependent.
