Lindsey Vonn completed a second downhill training run on Saturday morning in Cortina, a venue where she has won a record 12 times.
“All good,” Vonn said to The Associated Press after crossing the finish line in third place, 0.37 seconds behind leader and teammate Breezy Johnson. After completing Friday’s training run, U.S. alpine press officer Sierra Ryder said in an email to the Vail Daily that Vonn will not be speaking to media after training runs.

Vonn was 11th in Thursday’s training. The 41-year-old is preparing to race on Sunday with a large brace covering her injured left knee. She ruptured her ACL in the final World Cup downhill of the year in Crans Montana, Switzerland on Jan. 30, but has remained determined to compete in her fifth Olympics. Vonn had a partial titanium replacement inserted in her right knee in spring of 2024 and made a comeback to the World Cup later that winter after nearly six years of retirement.
Vonn, who won two World Cup races and made the podium in all five downhills on the circuit prior to crashing on Jan. 30, was the +175 favorite to win the Olympic event prior to her ACL injury. DraftKings now has Sofia Goggia — the 2018 gold medalist and 2022 silver medalist — as the favorite. Vonn is still second at +350, with Germany’s Kira Weidle-Winkelmann third for oddsmakers at +800.
The women’s Olympic downhill final is Sunday at 3:30 a.m. MST.
