Painting as a master who can paint anything in any style his artistic voice speaks out in an approach all of his own. To be able to choose freely one’s distinctive style comes from an evolution only available to the highly trained, imaginative and sensitive artisan. When people ask what his work is like, an Arkhipov enthusiast will honestly say, “It is not like anyone else.”

“Creativity starts when basic survival is met,” Arkhipov said. “We enter the realm of creativity through love, through celebration, through ‘being’ enthusiastically and fully in life. … Embracing life sets us free.”

Arkhipov has created a catalogue of work anchored in an appreciation of human creation and natural beauty. His paintings are about all of us; the universal faces in his work help us see ourselves and the people we love in settings that celebrate the joy of life. In his pieces, playfulness is encouraged, a reminder to not take life too seriously. He honors our ability to be engaged in lovely pursuits such as traveling, skiing, picnicking, driving across the country or simply admiring the beauty of a blue sky.

Arkhipov’s work can be found in many collections throughout the United States and internationally. Masters Gallery is located on East Meadow Drive in Vail Village. For more information, call 970-477-0600 or visit
