Daily Staff Report
Vail, CO Colorado

David R. Morrison, known to many by his nickname, “Mojo,” died on Dec. 16 in Vail. He was 42.

Morrison was born Aug. 5, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, the youngest of three children. He was raised in Russell, Ohio, and graduated from West Geauga High School in 1983.

In 1988, after obtaining a liberal arts degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, he moved to Vail to fulfill his dream of living in the mountains, friends and family members days.

In Vail Morrison owned a painting and remodeling business, and skied, hiked, cycled, camped and played softball and other sports.

In recent years, Morrison traveled overseas, and was appreciative of the scenery and culture of each country he explored, friends and family members say.

Morrison endeared himself to all with his generosity and zest for life, and was a loyal friend to many, friends and family members say.

Dave is survived by his parents, George and Marilyn Morrison, of Russell, OH; sisters Ginny Morrison and Lynda (Barry) Wilkinson; nephews Sam and Brennan Wilkinson; and many friends.

Memorial Services will be held in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. On or around July 4, Morrison’s friend will scatter his ashes on the North Star Run on Vail Mountain. Services will be announced.
