Jane Mary Eyre Schuster was born on December 5th, 1934 in South East England to Wilfred and Marjorie Rose Eyre. Jane’s family left England at the onset of WW II for America, traveling on one of the last civilian vessels to cross the Atlantic due to increasing U-Boat activity. The family spent a short time in New York City, followed by time in Carmel, CA before finally settling in Denver, CO.
Jane attended Loretta Heights College and was active in the Denver social scene, where she met her future husband, Bruce. Jane & Bruce were married in 1960 and settled in Cherry Hills Village, where they raised their five children. Jane and Bruce split their time between Denver and their beloved Vail before returning to Carmel, CA, where they lived out the rest of their lives.
Jane is preceded in death by Bruce, her husband of 63 years, her brother Richard and sister Vivian. She is survived by her five children, Jane, Anthony, Philip, Christopher and Matthew: her grandchildren Andrew, Taylor, Nickolas, Nico, Henry and Miles, as well as her sister Elisa Brennan and many nieces and nephews.
