Judy Vasquez Trujillo was called home by our Heavenly Father on October 12, 2023. Judy was born January 3, 1962, to her parents, Jose and Ramona Vasquez. She was part of a big family; Judy had 8 siblings. She grew up in Minturn and enjoyed outdoor adventures with her family and hanging out with the neighborhood kids.
Judy graduated from Battle Mountain High School. She was a lifelong member of the community. Judy found the love of her life, John Trujillo, and was married on July 7, 1984. They then started their family. Judy and John had 3 children, Angelo, John, and Emily.
Judy’s passion in life was cooking; she did many other things, but most of which came back to the same place – cooking! She was a cook for Berry Creek Middle School and befriended all the kids who passed through. She then found her way to The Turntable and also cooked for the Senior Citizens now and then. Fiestas was also lucky to have her. In 2020, she started a new adventure and got a food truck, Uncle Sleepers; she truly enjoyed this short endeavor!
But her greatest love was her grandchildren and watching the cooking shows with them all, and that was how she left this life. Judy is survived by her three children, her 8 grandchildren, her parents, and most of her siblings. She is preceded in death by her husband John and her brother Ivan.
