Terry Michael Parker, Jr., affectionately known as Michael, Mike, or simply Parker, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at his home in Vail, Colorado.
Michael was born on September 24, 1979, to Terry Michael Parker and Cindy Navarro. He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army and spent the last 15 years of his life working at Vail Ski Tech in Vail, Colorado.
Michael had a deep love for the mountains and was most at home snowboarding on some of the most beautiful terrain in the world. True to his nature, he excelled at everything he pursued, including snowboarding. A true jack of all trades, Michael was known for his remarkable skill, patience, and strong work ethic. His generous spirit was evident in the countless ways he helped others with projects both big and small, always willing to lend his hands and his time.
From a young age, Michael was drawn to music. A phenomenal self-taught guitarist, he had a lifelong passion for writing music, playing guitar, and singing. Music was his outlet and his language—through it, he expressed his deepest thoughts and emotions.
Michael had a rare gift for connection. He could sit down with anyone, of any age, and carry on a meaningful conversation about virtually any subject. He was also an avid collector of all things horror-related—films, characters, and memorabilia—so much so that his condo in Vail could have easily doubled as a horror museum.
To his friends, Michael was fiercely loyal and dependable—someone you could always count on. He loved making people laugh, sometimes with just a look, and his presence left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His absence will be felt deeply by all who knew and loved him.
Michael had a special love for animals, especially bulldogs. He leaves behind his beloved bulldog, Doof. He is now reunited with his longtime canine companion of 23 years, his boxer, Sugar Ray Leonard—affectionately known as Mr. Chuggs.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dewey Wayne Williams Jr. and James K. Parker Jr., as well as several dear friends.
He is survived by his mother, Cindy Navarro, and stepfather, Jeff Navarro; his father, Terry Parker (Kathy); grandmothers, Emma Jean Williams and Eddielene Parker; sister, Angel Parker Parish; brothers, Dustin Parker, Tyler Parker, and Trey Parker, Ethan Navarro and Gabriel Navarro; stepsister, Kristy Slay; niece, Chloe Wood (Marc); nephews, Reed Parker and Beau Parish; his long time friend and a guiding influence in his life, Craig “Chuckie” Arford; and numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
A memorial service was held on Friday the 13th, 2026, one of Michael’s favorite days of the year, in Amory, MS.
An additional service will be held at a later date in the Spring at Vail Memorial Park, Vail, CO.
Michael’s Mother, Sister, and Brother look forward to meeting his Vail family at a gathering at Bart & Yetis in Lionshead on Saturday February 21st at 6pm.
All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
