BOULDER – Police have identified the three people shot dead in a Boulder flooring and fireplace store Monday morning as the business owners, Sean Griffin and his wife, Staci; and Robert Montgomery, 50.
The three were found inside Boulder Stove and Flooring just after 11 a.m. Boulder police aren’t identifying a motive in the shooting, nor would they discuss the relationship between Montgomery and the Griffins.
“This is a crime scene at this point,” city of Boulder spokeswoman Sarah Huntley said outside the store earlier in the day. “I would not want to classify this as a triple homicide or a murder-suicide at this point.”
However, Huntley said there were no suspects being sought and that investigators would be conducting interviews throughout the night.
