Vail’s Kelly Liken to appear on "Top Chef"
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL – Less than one week after Vail chef and restaurateur Kelly Liken’s debut on the Food Network’s “Iron Chef America,” Liken is announcing another appearance on a big-name food show, Bravo’s “Top Chef.”
The announcement came Thursday that Liken would be one of 17 chefs competing for the coveted “Top Chef” title in Washington D.C. this summer – the show’s season premiere is June 16.
It’s unknown how long Liken will appear on the show, which eliminates a losing chef every week until there’s one chef remaining. The show, in its seventh season, requires chefs to create various dishes with all kinds of constraints from time to ingredients to cooking utensils.
Liken, who lost her “Iron Chef America” battle by five points, will also have to remain tight-lipped about “Top Chef,” as the show requires contestants to keep quiet about how far they’ve made it until the episodes air on television.
