Good Food Vibrations: Hovey & Harrison
Good Food Vibrations
Why we love this place
Hovey & Harrison is a standout bakery, bar, and restaurant located in the Edwards Corner strip mall, offering a blend of superb baked goods and a full-service bar. Customers are greeted by friendly staff and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Nearly everything is made in-house, and the kitchen’s commitment to fresh, seasonal ingredients is reflected on every plate. From salads and breakfast dishes to specialty coffee and cocktails, the menu delivers variety and quality.
Menu highlights
The bakery’s ciabatta loaf is one of our favorites and is consistently among the finest available in the valley. Some of our other favorites include the salted chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon rolls, monkey bread and muffins. Breakfast at Hovey & Harrison is a highlight, with the breakfast burrito being one of our favorites. A rotating selection of savory tartines — including beet, ratatouille, and salmon options —demonstrate culinary creativity. The house gazpacho, made from fresh, seasonal tomatoes, is another local favorite. The kitchen’s crispy pork sandwich, topped with kimchi and pickled vegetables, offers bold flavor, and many regulars are eager to see the Asian noodle salad with pork belly return to the lineup.
The vibe
The atmosphere is relaxed but bustling, reflecting its popularity in the Vail Valley community. There is abundant indoor and outside seating. Natural light, clean surroundings, and cheerful décor set the tone. The care and professionalism of the staff are evident, even during peak business hours, when lines frequently extend toward the door. Pro tip: Savvy diners skip the wait by choosing seats at the bar, where orders are promptly handled and a cocktail menu is available.
The staff’s efficiency and genuine customer engagement create a pleasant dining experience regardless of how busy the café becomes. Hovey & Harrison also hosts community events, game nights and special gatherings, underscoring its commitment to local involvement. They will also take special orders including birthday cakes.
The bottom line
Hovey & Harrison deserves its reputation as one of the valley’s premier bakery/bar/restaurants. With consistently excellent food, immaculate facilities, and attentive service, it is well loved by locals and visitors alike. For us, the ciabatta alone makes it worth a visit — or a special trip.
