Letter: Issues at the Edwards Post Office

I am hoping that someone can explain why so many of the packages I receive at the Edwards Post Office are sent back to the sender with insufficient addresses. This has happened at least four times this winter. My family holiday gifts were returned twice. I still have not received them and it is now Jan. 4, 2024.

The last package that I did receive, I had to bring proof that it said delivered because no slip was in our  P.O. box. Amazingly enough, they found it … just neglected to put the notice in our box.
I could understand if the addresses were not correct but they are — name, physical address, X###, Edwards, CO 81632 — as indicated by the postcard we received from the Postal Service.

When an attempt is made to determine the problem, the Postal Service employee is extremely rude and says that there is nothing to be done! The package will be returned to sender.

After another employee overhears my complaints, she kindly takes my tracking number and finds my package that was to be returned again! Guess what? It was addressed correctly!

The United States Postal Service in Edwards needs to apply what they instruct those of us living here to do. They blame it on the computer reading the labels. Well, then get the computer to read the labels as the Postal Service instructs us to address them.
