Opinion | Foster: Support Justin Chesney for Avon Town Council

I am writing to express my support for Justin Chesney and his candidacy for Avon Town Council.

Having worked with Justin previously, I have always admired his strong work ethic, professionalism, and commitment to getting results. His experience in the hospitality industry has given him a valuable understanding of what it takes to serve people, manage expectations, and create positive experiences for both residents and visitors.

I have personally seen Justin make meaningful contributions to the Avon community through his involvement with Mountain Pride and his work on Avon’s Case Committee. His dedication to community service also extends to his work with Mountain Horse Rescue and his leadership in community cleanup projects throughout the area.

One of Justin’s greatest strengths is his hospitality-first mindset. Living in a resort community, where tourism and the visitor experience play such an important role in our local economy, that perspective is especially valuable. His experience planning and organizing events for hundreds of people demonstrates his ability to coordinate complex efforts, bring people together and deliver results.

I believe Avon benefits from Town Council members who understand the importance of community, service and thoughtful decision-making. Based on my own experience working with Justin and seeing his involvement in our town, I believe he would bring valuable experience, a strong work ethic and a service-oriented perspective to Avon Town Council.
