Letter: What a loss for Eagle

I am very saddened at the demise of the Almost Everything Store at Broadway and Third Street in Eagle.

From times when I visited many years ago, through the 12 years I’ve lived here, it was the place to go for “almost everything.”

As a sample, I’m still wearing a 25-year-old sweatshirt with a modest “Eagle, Colorado” on it. On one of my walls is a relief map of this whole area, which I bought there, and I often have cereal out of a blue and white enamel-on-metal camping dish purchased long ago.

The employees were always friendly and helpful and made me feel good just walking in.  And, it was great to have a pharmacy within walking distance.

From the Hosa’s to the Batson’s, the Almost Everything Store has been part of my life, and I just wanted to express what a loss its closing is to Eagle.
