DENVER, Colorado ” Xcel Energy says additional crews are working to restore power to about 2,000 customers still without electricity in Evergreen after a powerful snowstorm over the weekend.
Xcel Energy spokesman Joe Fuentes says the utility expects that all of its Evergreen customers will have power again Monday. He didn’t know how many additional workers the utility is bringing in but says that about 20 crews have been working in the Evergreen area.
The spring storm that dumped as much as 52 inches in the foothills west of Denver this weekend also knocked out power to thousands of Xcel Energy customers in Denver and Boulder. Fuentes says power to everyone in Denver and Boulder has been restored.
