Three Ski and Snowboard Club Vail snowboarders were named to the U.S. park and pipe roster for the 2025 FIS Snowboard World Championships in Engadin, Switzerland, March 17-30. Lily Dhawornvej and Hahna Norman made the four-person women’s roster while Ollie Martin was one of four athletes named to the men’s squad.

“Our 2025 park and pipe world championships roster is absolutely stacked,” Rick Bower, snowboard sport director, stated in a press release this week. “Complete with World Cup winners, world champions and Olympians, the depth of the squad speaks volumes of the team’s success this season.”

Lily Dhawornjev placed third in the womens snowboard knuckle huck final at the 2025 X Games Aspen at Buttermilk in Aspen.

All three SSCV athletes have enjoyed breakout World Cup campaigns this winter. Martin — a 2024 Youth Olympic Games big air silver medalist — was the top American in fourth place in the big air at the Aspen Grand Prix on Feb. 6 and won his first World Cup in the slopestyle in Calgary on Feb. 22. The 16-year-old heads to worlds fresh off a pair of back-to-back NorAm victories in Calgary and Stoneham earlier this month.

Norman had two top-10 finishes at the Aspen Grand Prix and is 14th in the overall slopestyle standings. Her and Dhawornvej were the top Americans in the slopestyle in Aspen. The U.S. Ski Team rookies are joined on the roster by Olympic silver medalist Julie Marino, who is making her third worlds team and first since 2019. The 2024 big air junior worlds champion Rebecca Flynn is also on the team while Red Gerard, Sean Fitzsimons and Dusty Henricksen round out the men’s roster.

“The strength of this slopestyle roster lies in the camaraderie and depth,” stated Mike Ramirez, head coach. “I truly believe that when it comes to selections like this, it’s the hardest team in the world to make. Every rider on the world championships team has stepped up and earned their spot. We’ve got a fantastic mix of grizzled veterans and some exciting young talent on the rise.”

Chloe Kim and Maddie Mastro headline the halfpipe squad while Leadville’s Jason Wolle earned his first global championship team nod. The veterans are joined by Youth Olympic Games halfpipe silver medalist Alessandro Barbieri. The 16-year-old claimed his first World Cup podium in Calgary last month.

“So hyped to be headed to World Championships with this talented roster,” head coach Danny Kass stated in the press release. “Coming out of Calgary with Alessandro’s first career podium and Maddie’s crystal globe gives us great momentum heading into the final contest of the season. This crew is ready to put on a show.”

The men’s and women’s slopestyle qualifications are March 20 and 21, respectively, with finals for both on March 23. The big air qualifications are March 25 and 26 for the men and women, with finals on March 28. For more information, visit FreestyleMoritz2025.ch/en.
