American Airlines is extending its new seasonal, nonstop service from Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) to Charlotte (CLT) through April 6. The daily route, which was originally scheduled to end in early January, will now operate from Dec. 18 through Jan. 5 and Feb. 12 through April 6.
“This extension is a testament to the strong partnership between the Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE) and American Airlines, as well as the robust demand for direct access to our mountain communities,” said David Reid, director of aviation at Eagle County Regional Airport.
This route brings EGE’s total nonstop destinations to 16. The Charlotte service is now one of six routes connecting the airport to the eastern U.S. American Airlines will continue to operate the flight using an Airbus A319, which can carry 128 passengers, including eight first class seats.
“Supporting new flight destinations bolsters our economy and gives our locals more flight options out of Eagle when they travel. This new Charlotte flight is another example of how Core Transit is more than just buses,” said Earle Bidez, chair of the Core Transit board of directors.
Flight schedules are as follows (flight schedules are subject to change):
- CLT-EGE: departing CLT at 9 a.m. and arriving EGE at 11:15 a.m.
- EGE-CLT: departing EGE at 11:10 a.m. and arriving CLT at 4:45 p.m.
Tickets for the extended service are available for purchase on AA.com or through American’s mobile app.
