Cordillera honored by management company

EDWARDS — Troon, the largest third-party manager of golf and club operations in the world and management company for The Club at Cordillera since 2013, has honored the Vail Valley-based club with its annual Award of Excellence for the turn-around of Cordillera.

‘Rock Star’ Status

“We received the two-year Award of Excellence for turning around the Club at Cordillera from an operational and marketing standpoint,” said Mike Henritze, general manager for the Club at Cordillera. “Other awards included our being named Troon Facility of the Year and our first ‘rock star’ status for top line growth in membership and fiscal responsibility for ownership and our members. I’m proud of our team and the benefits they are bringing to membership at The Club at Cordillera.”

Troon Golf is represented in 28 countries and 34 American states while Troon Prive — Private Clubs of Distinction — is an operating division encompassing an elite group of Troon Golf-managed private golf clubs, including The Club at Cordillera.

The Club at Cordillera is one of the largest exclusive golf communities in North America. From the Vail Valley floor to Cordillera’s summit, Tom Fazio, Hale Irwin and Jack Nicklaus have crafted three golf courses, each with an award-winning clubhouse.
