Vail Daily obituary: Kathy Reynolds, 1954-2014
Kathy Reynolds passed away peacefully on Oct. 4 surrounded by her family. Kathy was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, on March 8, 1954.
Shortly after graduating from Dover Plains High School, she married the love of her life, Clarence (Butch) Reynolds. They lived in New York State, where their first child, Emile was born.
In 1980, Kathy and her family moved to Eagle. The couple added two more children to the family, Seth and Cathryn. Kathy and Butch lived and raised their family in Eagle and Gypsum. Kathy worked for Eagle Valley Glass for 25 years and Loaf ‘N Jug as a second job.
Kathy loved her jobs and loved working with the public. Being a dedicated mom, she always supported her husband, children and grandchildren in all their athletic endeavors. Kathy was thrilled when the casinos and lottery came to Colorado. It was a fun activity that she enjoyed with her family. Kathy was extremely talented at crocheting and knitting. She was always working on a project and generously gave her creations to people all over the valley.
Kathy’s husband, Butch, preceded her in death in 2012. Her parents and a brother have also preceded her in death. Kathy is survived by her three children, Emile, Seth and Cathyrn (Alan); and three grandchildren, Matthew, Savanna and Anthony. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Fran; brother Olle; and sister-in-law Rosie.
A memorial service will be held in honor of Kathy on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Brush Creek Pavilion. Refreshments will follow.
