The Vail Valley Charitable Fund is bringing back Bowling for Boobs on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 5-9 p.m. at DECA+BOL in Vail. The lively fundraising event, held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, promises an evening of friendly competition, food and beverages, and a silent auction — all to support a great cause.
Funds raised will directly benefit the Vail Breast Cancer Group, a subgroup of the Vail Valley Charitable Fund dedicated to supporting individuals diagnosed with breast cancer. The Vail Breast Cancer Group recently rolled out a free mammogram program for uninsured locals.
The tournament will host 20 teams of six team members each for a $500 registration fee, which includes bowling, shoe rentals, appetizers, one signature drink for each bowler and a silent auction. Just like 2024, this event will include two preliminary single-elimination rounds, with the top three teams advancing to the final third round. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third. There will also be a prize for best costume, so all attendees are encouraged to get creative and come dressed to impress.
Spectators are also welcome. Tickets are priced at $30 each and include a signature drink and access to the silent auction.
The Vail Valley Charitable Fund is a nonprofit committed to providing financial support to those facing a medical crisis, raising and distributing $9.7 million to locals in need since 1996.
