VAIL, Colorado -The Bravo! Guild hosts its annual membership drive at 5:30 p.m. today at Vail Town Hall. A light dinner will be provided. Vail Town Hall is located at 75 South Frontage Road in Vail. Parking is available in front of the building. The membership drive gives people an opportunity to join the volunteer Guild and learn more about the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival. Returning members can renew their memberships, and new members can join the Guild. Anyone interested in learning more about joining the Guild is encouraged to attend. The Guild has been supporting the Festival since its inception in 1987. With almost 200 members, these volunteers help usher at concerts, raise money for music-education programs and provide information to concert-goers. Last summer, they donated more than 2,000 volunteer hours.Frank Strauss, a member of the Bravo! Guild and coordinator for the membership party, hopes to sign up new members and raise money for the Guild. One hundred percent of the money raised supports Bravo!’s Music Matters education programs. Bravo!’s Music Matters program is a year-round effort to integrate the arts into the community and to enhance school music programs. The programs – including free family concerts, instrument petting zoos, Little Listeners @ the Library, Very Young Composers, after-school piano programs, Music on the Move, Behind the Music and Free & Easy concerts- reach nearly 10,000 children and adults annually. For more information on joining the Guild, contact Marion Laughlin at email@example.com.
