GYPSUM ” Two men and a teenager have been arrested in connection with a Feb. 2 armed robbery of Tienda Montes, a market in Gypsum, according to the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

Alan Pompa, 18, was arrested at his home on Friday, as well as Irvin Reyes, also 18, who was already in custody on unrelated charges, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Both were being held at the Eagle County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery, felony theft and felony menacing, the Sheriff’s Office said. Bail was set at $50,000 for each man.

The third suspect is a 17-year-old boy from Eagle who is being held without bond at a juvenile detention facility in Denver, the Sheriff’s Office said. The boy, whose name was not released, also is charged with aggravated robbery, felony theft and felony menacing.

A store clerk told investigators that three skinny males wearing dark clothing and ski masks came into the store and one of them pointed a gun at her.

The clerk said she did not give the men money, but one of them jumped over the counter and grabbed several bags of cash, according to a Sheriff’s Office report.

The clerk tried to run away, and struggled briefly with one of the suspects before all three left the store, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Surveillance videos were recovered from nearby businesses during the investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office credited the arrests to the involvement of informed and responsible citizens.
