Cops: Man threatened Edwards neighbor with gun

EDWARDS, Colorado ” A 29-year-old man pointed a pistol at his 49-year-old neighbor after the men argued at Riverwalk, according to an Eagle County Sheriff’s Office report.

The 49-year-old knocked on the 29-year-old’s door and told him he was being too loud. The 29-year-old said he would stop the noise, the 49-year-old said.

The 49-year-old heard a noise as he was leaving and saw the 29-year-old pointing a silver pistol at him, the 49-year-old said. He grabbed the gun and the men started wrestling in the kitchen.

The 29-year-old denied pointing the gun at the 49-year-old, and said that the 49-year-old pushed him before they started wrestling.

Sheriff’s deputies found the gun in the 29-year-old’s home, and he was arrested on suspicion of menacing and other charges. The 49-year-old was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and harassment.

MINTURN, Colorado ” Two backcountry skiers in their 20s called authorities because they were too “tired” to walk two miles out of the backcountry, according to an Eagle County Sheriff’s Office report.

But the 26- and 28-year-old men later said they could walk Two Elk Trail without help.

Rescuers walked up the trail to find the men anyway and the men ended up making it down the trail safely.

EDWARDS, Colorado ” A man who called rescuers after he got stuck in the deep snow ended up being rescued by his friend instead, according to an Eagle County Sheriff’s Office report.

The man, 56, was snowshoeing with a friend when he went to rescue his dog that had gone off the trail at East Lake Creek.

The man got his dog, but called 911 when he was buried up to his chest in powder and could not hike up a steep slope.

The man told rescuers when they found him on the trail that his friend helped him get out.

VAIL, Colorado ” A snowmobiler was rescued after he ran into the back of his brother’s snowmobile near Vail Pass, according to an Eagle County Sheriff’s Office report.

The snowmobiler, 29, and his brother were riding their snowmobiles on Shrine Pass when the brother stopped in front of him. The snowmobiler flew off his snowmobile and cut his leg.

The 29-year-old snowmobiler told police dispatchers that he had broken his leg.

He had stopped the bleeding with duct tape by the time rescuers arrived.

Rescuers took him out of the area on a snowmobile.

MINTURN, Colorado ” A driver reported that her ex-boyfriend and her cousin flipped her off, according to an Eagle County Sheriff’s Office report.

The woman was exiting Interstate 70 when she saw her ex-boyfriend and her cousin driving by with their middle fingers extended toward her.

The men denied flipping the ex-girlfriend off, and they were not ticketed.
