VAIL, Colorado – Repairs to temporarily shore up the boulder retaining wall and a section of the Dowd Junction recreation path will begin Tuesday and will take approximately five days. The work will be occurring at the east end of the path approximately 100 yards from the Intermountain gate. The path will remain open to pedestrians and bikers during the repairs; however delays of up to 10 minutes should be expected. Flaggers will be present to escort people through the work zone; bikers will be required to dismount. Final repairs to the wall and path are scheduled to occur in the fall. The path was damaged during the spring snowmelt. The contractor is B&B. For more information, call Chad Salli at 970-479-2169.
