Eagle County School District’s Information Technology Department has been named a 2025 Global Winner of the ONCON ICON Top 100 Award in two categories — Technology Team and Information Security.

Winners were announced on Tuesday, October 21, during the annual ONCON ICON Awards ceremony, which recognizes impactful and innovative leaders and teams in business and technology. The awards are among the most recognized and esteemed peer-to-peer awards in the world, honoring top professionals and teams across industries who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and influence.

The selection process for the ONCON ICON Awards is rigorous and highly competitive. To be named a Global Top 100 Winner is a prestigious honor that signifies international recognition from fellow professionals for outstanding contributions to organizational success and the broader professional community.

“This recognition is a tremendous honor and a reflection of the hard work, collaboration, and innovation that define our Information Technology team,” said Phil Qualman,Superintendent of Eagle County School District. “We’re proud to see Jack Donnelly and his IT Team recognized with this honor to show the district’s commitment to providing secure, reliable, and transformative technology that supports education and student success across Eagle County.”

Earlier this year, Donnelly was named a finalist for the Colorado ORBIE Award for CIO of the Year, which celebrates leadership, innovation, and excellence in technology management across the state of Colorado. The article highlighted the district’s vision for creating a secure and future-ready technology ecosystem that empowers educators and students alike.

Eagle County School District’s User Support Team was also recently recognized by Lenovo with the Elite Servicer Award for outstanding performance in Lenovo’s Device Self-Maintainer Program. The distinction is reserved for top-performing organizations that demonstrate exceptional efficiency, technical skill, and service quality in maintaining Lenovo devices, including Chromebooks, for their organizations.

The Lenovo Self-Maintainer Program enables certified IT teams to conduct in-house warranty repairs on eligible Lenovo devices, with reimbursement provided for labor and parts. By earning Lenovo’s certification, Eagle County School District technicians perform warranty repairs directly, significantly reducing turnaround times and ensuring that devices return to students and staff quickly — reducing turnaround time from 45 days to less than four.

The Elite Servicer Award recognizes ECSD’s exceptional service metrics, repair accuracy, and commitment to operational excellence. Through this program, the district’s IT professionals have maximized device uptime, streamlined support operations, and strengthened the reliability of the district’s technology ecosystem.

“Our User Support Team’s dedication to fast, high-quality device repair has had a direct impact on teaching and learning,” said Donnelly, Eagle County School District’s Chief Technology Officer. “Receiving Lenovo’s Elite Servicer Award highlights how our team’s skill and innovation translate into real benefits for students and staff every single day.”
