Since 1993, Raekwon and a martial arts inspired group called the Wu-Tang Clan have impacted hip-hop as much as any other collaboration of the time.

Raekwon brings his solo stuff to 8150 tonight at 10.

Raekwon comes to Vail with his newest recording, “The Lex Diamond Story,” in hand. Raekwon’s first solo release, “Only Built 4 Cuban Linx,” came with extensive collaboration by fellow Wu-Tang member Ghostface Killah.

The album made a lasting impression and led to Raekwon’s sophomore solo work, “Immobilarity.”

In addition to “The Lex Diamond Story,” Raekwon has teamed up with Randy Spelling (son of television mogul Aaron Spelling) for a project called “Ice Water,” which features Polite, Cigzra, Problem Child (PC) and Stumik ” four up-and-coming rappers.

Raekwon, who has worked with hip-hop stars like Big Punisher, Mobb Deep, NaS, Mya and Outkast, plays 8150 in Vail tonight at 10.
