Golfweek Magazine, Golfweek.com and Red Sky Golf Club will host the Golfweek Red Sky Classic tournament Sept. 25-27, bringing 16 NCAA Division I colleges to the Fazio course for a three-day match play event.
“We are ecstatic to return to Red Sky Ranch,” said Golfweek’s tournament director Lance Ringler. “Over the years, I have been told that this is many of the players’ and coaches’ favorite spot on their schedule. Since we started coming here in 2010, this event is very popular with teams from all parts of the country. The course sets-up tremendously well for tournament-golf showcasing a variety of scoring and shot-making.”
Red Sky golf professional Nathan Mead said spectators are welcome to attend the event, free of charge, and can view the competition by walking the course.
“The Classic, though relatively casual from a spectators’ standpoint, is an intense competition among some the top women’s collegiate golfers in the country,” he said. “It is sure to be a great event.”
“We are thrilled to welcome both Golfweek and the DI women’s teams,” added Andrew Hedrick, Red Sky Ranch general manager and director of golf Andrew Hedrick.
