VAIL, Colorado – The Vail Recreation District’s annual ShowTime ice skating show is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Dobson Ice Arena in conjunction with the Vail America Days celebration.

This year’s performance, “Party in the USA,” will feature skaters performing to songs such as “I’ve got a Feeling,” “It’s My Party,” “Fame” and “Like a Prayer.”

Costs are $20 for a family of four or $8 per adult and $6 for those 16 and younger. Ticket sales will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the ice arena. Spectators are encouraged to bring nonperishable can goods to receive a $1 off admission as a benefit for Eagle County food banks.

“We’re excited to showcase a variety of music and skating talent during our annual ice show,” said ice show director Dawn Ristow. “This is a special show for the community and in addition to the skating performances, we’re pleased to host a food drive to help area food banks which have been hit particularly hard this year. It’s a great show and a great way to help the community.”

Dobson Ice Arena is operated by the Vail Rec District and is located on the in-town route between Lionshead and Vail villages. In addition to the holiday skating shows, Dobson offers a variety of skating opportunities including public skating, ice hockey lessons and leagues, skating classes and private lessons.
