Obituary: Millie Collier

Millie Campbell Collier was born on April 10, 2016, and left this world to be with Jesus on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023.

Millie came into the world in a hurry and ran and danced her way joyously through her adventurous 7 years on this earth, but left us way too soon. Millie lived and loved like no one else. She had the most generous heart and spread her love freely to everyone she met. She sparkled from the moment she was born. Millie shared her snacks, her toys, her family, her laughs, and her hugs and asked for nothing in return. She was the perfect combination of sweetness and sass, and her secret power was making you feel like the most special person in the world.

She leaves behind a family that loves her beyond words. Mother and father Kelley and Mitch, big sisters Haley (Michael) and Sadie, big brother Tanner, brand new nephew Arlo, grandparents Karen Williams and Jody and Sam Blower, Aunt Mandy Collier, Aunt Candi Martinez and family, Aunt Val and Uncle Alan Barry, cousins Heather and Karl Eklund, the Liffick family, the Pitts family, the Hansen family, and so many other special friends that she made along her journey. She was preceded in death by her loving Papa Sam Williams.

While all of us are suffering greatly, Millie showed us all the meaning of true, unconditional love. The lessons we all learned from a 7-year-old can be carried forward in our daily interactions with others. When Millie was around, endless hugs, giggles, and fun were to be had. Millie, our eternal bright light, will continue to warm our hearts and guide our path to the way life should be lived.

Please join the Collier family at the Eagle River Center on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, at 4 p.m. for a Celebration of Millie’s life. We request all who can join to be joyous with us, remembering Millie’s love of sparkles and pink and dressing to please her — anything with bright colors, rainbows, cowboy boots, kittens, or unicorns.
