Vail Daily Town Talk: Make paper lanterns

Vail’s Art in Public Places is launching a community-wide public art project this holiday to celebrate the season of light! Join artist and author Helen Hiebert for free paper lantern making workshops at the Vail Public Library on Dec. 15 and 22. The Paper Lantern Project will culminate in the distribution of complimentary LED battery-operated lights at the Vail tree lighting on Dec. 22 at 5 p.m. We invite the residents and guests of Vail to participate in an AIPP sponsored lantern workshops on Dec. 15 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. (ages 13 and older) and Dec. 22 from 2 to 4 p.m. (all ages) at the Vail Public Library or by creating your own paper lantern to bring to the tree lighting to help illuminate Vail. Call 970-479-2344 or email Molly Eppard, AIPP coordinator, at meppard@vailgov.com to reserve your space.
