Ski and Snowboard Club Vail went four-for-four at the Summit Open at Copper Mountain Feb. 10-11.
Ryan Stockton won both the boys open and dual moguls competitions at the Rocky Mountain Freestyle event, while Katie Dreitlein and Ava Keenan claimed the respective girls competitions.
Stockton trailed Steamboat Spring’s Liam Siefken going into his second run in Saturday’s individual event.
“Ryan stomped his top air and got into his line clean and fast,” SSCV mogul program director John Dowling said. After crossing the line in 22.00 seconds on his second effort, Stockton’s 80.48 score secured the victory.
Caden McCormick (fourth), Riley Hughes (fifth), Matthew Grattan (eighth) and Jackson Cupp (ninth) joined Stockton in the top-10 of the 62-athlete field on day 1. On the girls side, Reese Lemnah joined Dreitlein on the podium and Keenan placed ninth. Dowling noted Dreitlein’s scorching speed. She blasted the Treble Clef course in 24.9 seconds — over 1.5 seconds faster than the second-best time — but still sat in fourth before her second run.

“In the second run, (she) outpaced the field again, but this time with cleaner turns and a better backflip with iron cross on the bottom air,” Dowling stated. “For Katie, it was her time to (step) on the top of the podium in a Rocky Mountain Freestyle open mogul.”
Keenan battled a pair of Australians in Sunday’s dual moguls. She ousted Talia Manns in the semifinals before a convincing win against Eliza Peake in the finals.
“The Aussies have been topping the podium at a couple of the last RMF events, and Ava had some gritty duals against strong skiers en route to victory,” Dowling said.
Stockton beat Zac Sheinbaum in the semifinal before defeating Siefken in a 13-12 judges’ decision in the final.
