Studio 8100 in Avon will be dancing under new ownership of Renee Fleischer
AVON — Renee Fleischer has signed on to be the new owner of long-time Vail Valley dance Studio 8100.
Studio 8100, located in the Traer Creek Plaza, is a 4,000-square-foot space that houses two dance studios. The studios serve as a home for a range of classes including ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, contemporary and fitness, as well as competition teams. The studio also has classes designed to engage dancers of all experience levels, ages 3 to adults.
Fleischer’s experience in dance spans decades, and the purchase of Studio 8100 allows for her and husband, Chad Fleischer, former Olympic skier and Vail native, to re-establish roots in their old hometown.
“The Vail Valley location, wonderful infrastructure and supportive community presented itself as the perfect trifecta,” Fleischer said. “It is a fantastic opportunity for every party, and I feel confident I can bring a new, fresh perspective of dance to the entire community.”

Following a career as a professional dancer, including being a member of the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders, Fleischer opened Elevation Dance Studio in Steamboat Springs, where she established a robust dance program and has trained dancers who are now pursuing professional careers.
The new leadership change follows an eventful transition led by dance parents turned nonprofit Dance Assist. Dance Assist stepped in this summer to keep the studio going following the previous owner’s exit.
“Studio 8100 means a great deal to its students and the parents, and Dance Assist will remain committed to our work providing scholarships to passionate dancers in the Vail Valley,” said Sarah Johnson, board member of Dance Assist. “That said, having such an experienced owner take the reins will be an incredible new chapter for dance in the Vail Valley, and we are thrilled to have Renee.”
Fleischer will be hosting an open house meet and greet and a free day of classes on Aug. 27. Registration is currently open for the new session of classes that will begin the week of Labor Day.
