Taste of Vail posters released
VAIL — Tasked with the challenge to create an iconic piece of art for Taste of Vail’s 25th anniversary April 8-11, local ad firm and event sponsor Avid Design put its best talent to the test. The selected design, created by Art Director Coni Terrado, was considered a labor of love given her brief hiatus and recent return to Vail.
“With a milestone celebration just weeks ahead, we couldn’t be more excited to debut the chosen design for Taste of Vail’s 25th anniversary poster,” said Greg Moffet, Taste of Vail board member. “The digital artwork captures food, wine and the Vail lifestyle in the most intriguing and refreshing way. We hope this piece is something that festival-goers cherish and display.”
Terrado uses various digital techniques to create an abstract work of art, which depicts several iconic locations found in Vail Village and on Vail Mountain. Further detail connects the location to Taste of Vail with a glass of wine complemented by a bottle, all set in the nature-filled landscape that is Vail.
“To me, Taste of Vail is as iconic as the Covered Bridge, the Clock Tower, and the Back Bowls of Vail,” Terrado said. “It is part of what makes Vail so unique and special.”
Terrado has spent the last five years living in two different countries, each six months at a time. After completing her graphic design degree in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she was ready to commit to Vail full-time.
“Vail has a very special place in my heart, and I’m thrilled to be back,” Terrado said. “I love the lifestyle and the culture with ever fiber of my being so I was honored when my piece was chosen for the 25th Anniversary of Taste of Vail.”
The 25th Anniversary Taste of Vail commemorative artwork can be purchased for $20 at http://www.tasteofvail.com/shop/ or in-person during the event.
The 25th Taste of Vail will be held April 8-11. In addition to the new seminars offered during the 25th anniversary of Taste of Vail, the event will include Debut of 2014 Rosé, the American Lamb Cook-off and Après Ski Tasting, the Mountain Top Picnic and the Grand Tasting. Taste of Vail is the nation’s only event that invites dozens of winemakers and owners from all over the world to pour wine and interact with participants.
