The Vail Nordic Center pro shop will close for the season on Sunday at 5 p.m. according to a press release from the Vail Recreation District. That means this week is the final chance for skiers to take advantage of end-of-season sales.
Currently, the spring sale is offering 50% off all clothing and accessories and 40% off all skis, boots, poles and bindings. The pro shop will maintain its regular hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Sunday.
Warm weather forced the Nordic center to close its trail system abruptly last week.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us this season out on the Nordic track and in the Pro Shop,” the press release stated. “We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you again next winter. Stay tuned for the opening date of the Vail Golf Club in the coming months.”
The Nordic center hosted the 15th-annual Krueger Family Shamrock Shuffle last Sunday. The final event of the winter race series attracted roughly 75 participants for running and snowshoe competitions.
