Frisco-based Outer Range Brewing Co. is now the official beer partner of Vail Resorts in Colorado, according to a Facebook post by the company. The partnership means that Outer Range beers will now become a prominent part of the drink offerings at Breckenridge Ski Resort, Vail Ski Resort, Keystone Resort, Beaver Creek Resort and Crested Butte Mountain Resort.
Sarah McLear, communications manager at Keystone Resort, said the partnership is based in Vail Resorts’ efforts to join with a local brewery.
“After our last contract was up, we were looking for a new beer partner. … There was a lot of desire to get with a local beer partner. Colorado has amazing small craft breweries, and we wanted to amplify that,” McLear said.
The partnership, she continued, means that Vail Resorts will promote Outer Range brews across its Colorado ski areas, including in base area-restaurants and bars.
“They will be our featured beer, and we will have a great variety of their offerings in different outlets at all our Colorado resorts,” she said.

“We’re excited about the partnership. … We’re excited to be able to pick (Outer Range beer) up right down the road and bring it to the mountains,” McLear said.
Outer Range Brewing Co. first opened in Frisco on Dec. 26, 2016, according to previous Summit Daily News reporting. Outer Range Brewing did not return requests for an interview.
