Letter: Changing young lives through community, mentorship and access
Thank you, Eagle County. Your generosity, passion and belief in our SOS Outreach youth helped make this winter one to remember. Because of you, we continued our mission of transforming lives through outdoor mentorship and created meaningful opportunities for local kids to thrive.
Together, we’ve created opportunity and access for over 80,000 youth since 1993 — and Eagle County remains at the heart of that legacy. In the 2024-25 winter season alone, 536 local youth were supported by 106 dedicated volunteers, with over 13,400 hours spent outdoors learning, leading and growing together.
Our model is simple but powerful: Combine outdoor adventure with consistent mentorship and a focus on values. It’s how we help young people build the skills, confidence and character they need to succeed.
To every mentor, partner and donor: thank you. You are building a stronger, more connected, and more inclusive Eagle County.
We’re more than just a nonprofit. We’re a movement. A force of positive change. A community that uplifts those around us. And we’re sure glad to have you here.
