Nate Peterson

Nate Peterson grew up in Colorado and got his start in newspapers at the Boulder Daily Camera. He’s in his second stint at the Vail Daily, where he landed in 2003 after graduating from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where he studied English and French. He has also worked at The Aspen Times, where he ran Winter X Games coverage and covered the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. He then spent eight years at CBSSports.com, where he worked in a variety of roles and ran the NFL vertical for nearly three years. Among other things, he authored the definitive Super Bowl halftime show rankings and uncovered, in a rollicking oral history, that Brett Favre (maybe) drowned Bambi as a young boy growing up in Mississippi. He has also been a contributor to The New York Times, covering World Cup skiing, snowboarding, Lance Armstrong and college football. He couldn’t be happier to be back in the Vail Valley, this time with his wife, Emily, his two children, Grace and Max, and his rescue dog, Frankie.
