During the competition, each participant attempts three drives down a 40-yard fairway, three 10-15-yard chips and three putts (from 6-foot, 15-foot and 30-foot distances).

Golfers can advance through local, sub-regional and regional qualifying events to earn a place in the national finals, conducted at Augusta National Golf Club on the Sunday before the Masters. At last year’s 10th anniversary of the competition, an Augusta local took the title for the first time.
