Authorities respond to plane crash near Dotsero

Authorities responded to a small plane crash near Dotsero Sunday afternoon near Sweetwater Road, according to a release from the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office.

“Deputies with the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area and located a small plane that had crashed. The sole occupant is a 48 year old male and the pilot. He sustained a minor cut but walked away from the scene,” according to the release.

Authorities believe the aircraft experienced engine failure and clipped a tree. There were no other occupants and no further injuries.
