20-car pile up closes I-70 near Frisco Sunday

A 20-car-pile up closed eastbound Interstate 70 just west of Frisco at mile marker 198 for a few hours on Sunday.
At least three people are being transported to Summit Medical Center with injuries, according to Colorado State Patrol spokesman Nathaniel Reid.
Eastbound I-70 wass also closed at Vail Pass, mile marker 180 due to multiple accidents.
Severe weather and snow conditions have caused problems for the area much of the afternoon. The National Weather Service expects three to six inches of snow in the area through tonight.
The Colorado Department of Transportation website is suggesting motorists use U.S. 24 as an alternate route.
Earlier in the day westbound lanes of I-70 were closed for an hour while multiple accidents were cleared off the road. No injuries were reported then.
