On select afternoons throughout the winter, Beaver Creek Culinary is going to treat guests to a special après ski experience. Here, the restaurants come to you in the form of pop-ups in Beaver Creek Village. Shop for ski boots at Base Mountain Sports while eating delicious bites from Mirabelle, try on diamonds at Maya Walker Jewels and enjoy a taste of Minturn Whisky Co. or sip bubbles while commenting on Britten’s artistic techniques at C. Anthony Gallery.
Beaver Creek Culinary will present three different dates for this complimentary excursion. This month’s theme is luxe culinary on Thursday. On Feb. 5, get into the Carnival and Fat Tuesday spirit with a Mardi Gras theme. On March 5, it’s all about feeling cozy with a comfort food theme.

This interactive way of exploring Beaver Creek Village allows visitors, second homeowners and locals alike to browse the ski shops, art galleries and boutiques for unique items or must-haves on the slopes. The Vail Jazz Quartet will be playing music on the plaza, so you’ll be entertained as you go from shop to shop. Pick your favorite restaurant or go to your favorite store by choosing from the list below, or try to hit them all during the event, which runs from 3-4:30 p.m.:
- Beaver Creek Sports – Alpine & Antlers
- Paderewski Fine Art – Beaver Creek Chophouse
- C. Anthony – Citrea
- Beaver Creek Sports Kids – Coyote Cafe
- Alpine Kind – Dusty Boot
- Haus of Cucu – Golden Eagle
- Base Mountain Sports – Mirabelle
- Kjus – Rimini
- Hawk’s Nest Cabin – Blue Moose Pizza
- Maya Walker – Minturn Whisky Co.
- Tony Newlin Gallery – A taste of Stiegl Brewery
If you taste something you like, make a reservation at the participating restaurant for later that night or come back and try more on the menu. Find a trip treat — another name for a souvenir — that will remind you of your trip to Beaver Creek. The idea is to shop, taste and mingle at Beaver Creek Culinary’s Pop-Up Après.

The pop-ups started last year and were so popular Beaver Creek brought them back. It takes a village to coordinate pairing up all the restaurants with the shops, and the food is paired nicely with the type of store it will be in. For example, Hawk’s Nest Cabin, Beaver Creek’s nightclub for teens and tweens will have pizza while Tony Newlin Gallery will host Stiegl Brewery to go with its nature and wildlife photography.
