VAIL ” Slifer Designs recently finished designing the hotel rooms and hallways for Vail Resorts’ newest luxury project, The Arrabelle at Vail Square, now under construction in Lionshead.

Slifer designed furniture and bathrooms for the hotel rooms. The bathrooms have double doors, a deep, cast-iron bathtub, a free-standing double sink, marble vanity and a frameless glass shower.

The rooms have canopy beds, fireplaces, flat-screen TVs and two-sided desks.

The designs are based on Biedermeier, an early 19th century German architecture movement is marked by simplicity, elegance and functionality, said Jim Dawkins, vice president of Slifer Designs’ interior architecture and hospitality department.

“We are thrilled to be a part of Vail’s ‘New Dawn,'” Dawkins said. “The positive energy associated with The Arrabelle is driving our design team to create several beautiful interior options for the new owners, as well as design public spaces that will be enjoyed by everyone who visits.”

The Slifer Designs team working on this project includes Donna Figg, Sarah Carr, Kim Toms, Lori Bream, Sandy Cochran and Nicole Beaton. Yvonne Jacobs, Slifer’s vice president of interior design, is handling any requests for furnishing Arabelle’s privately owned condominiums.

The Arrabelle is expected to be complete in 2007.
